30 Oct Cyclone Hudhud Relief Aid
On October 12th, Cyclone Hudhud made landfall near Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh which is just 240 miles north of Tenali. By the grace of God, none of Harvest India’s ministries were impacted by the cyclone, but many people lost homes, businesses and even lives. Hudhud caused extensive damage to the city of Visakhapatnam, and the damages are estimated to be at least $11 billion dollars. At least 46 deaths have been confirmed.
Last week, the State of Andhra Pradesh asked it’s students to participate in the relief effort by collecting money from the people in their villages. Harvest India was eager to jump in and help out with the cause. Students from our KSK College, Nursing Colleges, Harvest India Schools, and Quarry College all went door to door asking for donations. They were able to collect over $3,400 and Harvest India will also be donating an additional $1,600, bringing the total to just over $5,000! Hallelujah!
